smoke from under bonnet, grille and vents inside car

Just got home and found there was blueish/white smoke coming from under bonnet, grille and vents inside car. It smells a bit like when you burn milk in a pan :eek:
Im not sure what to do, its stopped now/gone, ive not opened the bonett. ive rang the AA and they said 90 mins from now .
has this happened to anyone else before?

CAR:2001 ASTRA 1.8 16V fully serviced, 56500 miles

When was the last time you checked your oil level?0

Just had AA out the oil cap seal had gone, the cap came loose and came off :eek: blowing oil all over engine and exhaust manifold creating the smoke. He's cleaned the oil off and Im gettnig a replacement cap from Vauxhall .
This gave me a fright thought it was gonna go on fire :eek:0
