How are you connecting the 3 computers to the router-wirelessly or by ethernet?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Post your router statistics, it may give a clue as to whats going on.

So the world doesn't think you are mad I'll make clear I made a post about O2 routers by mistake then deleted it when I realised you'd typed Sky and not O2.

Some bits were applicable to any router I guess - overheating issue and use of too many connections by P2P clients plus checking WiFi security. Finally if it persists try the ISP for a replacement.

during the outage if you're able to ping your router?

(type "ping 192.168.0.1" or whatever ip you use to access your router config)

if you can will point to a problem either with the router's modem or further upstream (back towards your ISP) rather than local wifi or the computers.

if you turn off computers and test using only 1 running/connected do you still see the problem?

Software firewalls can sometimes cause this problem, is the software the same on all 3?
