Can anyone tell me what this noise might be please?

I hit a pothole :o (full of water - looked like a puddle :mad:) on Sunday. Since then there has been a low-pitched grinding/dragging noise coming from the nearside front of the car. There is no obvious visual damage as far I can see (but I don't really know what I'm looking for :o). My Dad said from the noise he thought it…

So, to update, hubby and neice neighbour jacked up the car and took the wheel off this morning. Brake pads ok. Nothing else wrong they could see, but shock absorber quite oily. They think the bump caused the oil in the shock absorber to squirt out, making the shock absorber a bit bouncy, and the lack of lubricant causing the grinding/dragging noise.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
