Thanks for all the replies, sorry havent been in till now - been booking honeymoon - 2 week to Barbados AI !!
Yes I would understand more if it was a listed/NT/EH property. I think flipflops are a good idea. When I phoned she said high heels are ok but not stilletoes. Will go and view it on Sunday and see what we think as otherwise it sounds good !! :T:A:beer:We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T0 -
I attended a christmas party on HMS Warrior, and they provided heel protectors for the ladies, a bit unusual but at least my partner got to keep her stilletos on.
google "clean heels", perhaps if you provided them to your guests the venue may be more flexible.

I remember quite a lot of "no stilettos" rules being about in venues/clubs years ago. Then stilettos went out of fashion.0

I'd love this - legitimate excuse to wear Doc Marten boots with my dress... I could get a nice pair of purple velvet DMs... or slippers. Hate the expectation I'm going to wear high heels for the day, I can manage about 5 minutes in 'em at the best of times!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Hi - believe me I like the idea of DMs, slippers or trainers but feel I should go for something more feminine on my wedding day and I will feel more of a bride in at least a small heel !! I usually wear boots, trainers, flip-flops or low sandals in summer. Heels are occasional and not comfortable in my eyes !!!We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T0
