Received Letter

Hi,
Received a letter today from Halifax regarding my claim to bank charge refund as promised they would kepp in touch about developments etc, then goes on aout the legal proceedings that ended on 25th Nov and the outcome which i already knew blah blah blah then basically says that they know i feel are unfair, however the outcome of the legal proceedings means that these bank fees are not penalties and under regulations the fee is not a reason for finding them unfair.
As a result we will not be uupholding your complaint or providing a refund of the bank fees. If they have not heard from me in 8 weeks they will close it.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i was on the last leg of getting my money back and it's unfair that others have been paid, i knew this would happen we are left with nothing but greedy banks...
Is there anymore i can do does anybody know ?

    Xmas Saver!
I had the same letter, looks like its doing the rounds, the only way round the bsnk charges saga may be the new way Martin + the legal eagle did the letter, its based on individual action rather of that person against the financial instute, I remember reading it was low chance but may be worth downloading a template.

Don't forget you have 8 weeks to reply to the halifax letter and can use the new template.

Thats my plan of action, whether it gets me anywhere I don't know but its worth a stamp or 2 ! x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • I got the same letter and was wondering what to do about it.
  • New guide should be on the forum this week so I would wait for Martin's new advice.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

I have had the same letter today, so can one of you point us in the right direction of where to find the templates for the letter to the ombusman?
It's worth a try until the letter Martin has come up with arrives.
    Thanks
