BT LINE RENTAL - Do not want a 12month Contract

Have been with BT over 2 years at current address
and may rent out the property. I do noit want to be
tied into a contract although BT insist i have a contract..
they told me they dont do quarterly contracts ????

all i need is line rental....

As you have been with BT over 2 years you cant be on a 12 or 18 month line rental contract, so as far as line rental is concerned your out of contract,
,and if your on the weekend call plan your be out of contract as far as calls are concerned.

If however you have agreed to a 12 month rolling contract for your calls eg Free Evening and Weekend calls , then you want be able to get out of the call contract until the 12 months are up. After 11 months you can tell them you wish to cease call contract,and revert to a standard call tariff which you pay extra for but it carries no minimum term.

If you are on the rolling contract for free calls BT charge you a massive £7.50 for each month (or part thereof) left on the contract if you cancel early despite your saving at most about £3/month.
