Data transfer from phone to SIM

I have a sony ericsson k600i I am taking in for repairs. Been advised to ensure all data are saved. How do I save the text messages and pics on the SIM instead of on the phone? At the moment, when I use the phone on another phone the only data I see are my contacts but | want to see my SMS as well. thanks

You can't save images to the SIM card. You will need to either save them to a memory card (does the K600i even have one? lol), send them across to your PC using Bluetooth, or the *dreaded* InfraRed.

Best way is to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter (such as this one) and send them to your PC.

You can't copy Text Messages to your SIM Card, and the only way to have them on your SIM card is if they were originally there. Do you vitally need them anyway? If you do, order a free SIM from Orange or someone and use the free credit to forward your texts to another number on the phone you are going to use while your K600i is in for repairs.

BTW, Don't let the phone company rip you off on repairs... You can pick up a decent K600i off eBay for less than £20.

the k600i doesn't have a memory card slot, so it you can transfer via data cable (i think the k600 has a mini usb connection, but it's been so long since i last saw one i can't remember)

and my k810i doesn't have the option to save texts to the sim

Good point. I forgot about Data Cables - it's been so long since I've used them.

OP - If you havn't got a Data Cable already (check in the box), you can get one for £2 delivered here.

Thanks all. I managed to work out that I could save individual text messages I wanted from the phone to the sim DIRECTLY.
