i freeze them all the time, i usually cut the cob in half and wrap in cling film. When you want to cook them just bung them in the microwave for about 6 mins (still in the cling film).
They always taste fine0 -
Yes
And no - just chuck them in some water0 -
You can freeze them in their jackets..I just pick them off the plant and throw them in the freezer. Not quite as nice as fresh, but still good!!0

Hi tdd111,
Once cooked red cabbage freezes brilliantly so you shouldn't have any problems. Defrost overnight in the fridge and then reheat (covered) until piping hot in the oven or microwave.

Is Swedish red cabbage the same as the braised red cabbage with spices & apples that Delia Smith did on recent Christmas cooery show? If so, she said it freezes brilliantly and she does extra so as to have some to freeze for after Christmas. I've made that recipe and have frozen it so hopefully all will be well.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

Does anyone have a recipe for Clarissa Dickson-wright's version of Swedish red cabbage? (The one which she insisted had to be cooked for two hours plus)0
