My first sale offering paypal goes wrong.... what do I do?

After several years of using ebay and resisting accepting paypal I decided to try a few sales with it as an option.
Sod's law, with five sales just ended, one was a bidder from Canada - yes I know I should have checked beforehand but I said ship to UK only (plus I doubt the postage on a 300-page hardback book will come within my postage charge) Ebay help seems as clear as mud - I've ASQ'd the buyer (or should that be ABQ'd;) ) saying I won't complete the sale as they've given a Canadian address. I have other buyers I can make second chance offers to but would appreciate any advice as to the process I should be following to make sure I'm not out of pocket.
Thanks in advance (and hope)

Perhaps contact the buyer stating that you only post witihn uk as stated in your auction, hopefully they'll be okay with this and you can then offer a second chance to the next highest bidder. I only post within uk and have my auctions set to not accept bids from outside uk.0

Look at your auction listing, the postage shown will clearly state for UK only, so it is perfectly OK to email your canadian buyer and quote him the full rate for overseas postage.
In future though set your preferences to exclude bidders from countries you don't wish to ship to.
