This thread could have turned spooky . Some of these stories are sooooo cute and funny! I can't wait to have stories of our own.
Grandpa in my pocket isn't scary. His sister on the other hand is extremely horrid!

My only daughter is always referring to her brothers. The other morning there was a scary monster in her bedroom (thank you Scooby doo) and I had to hold its hand so it could come downstairs to play with us. I have lost count of the number of names of imaginary friends, and put it down to the active imagination of an only child. I have to supply their words with a squeaky voice.
    Been away for a while.

    errr....Redrum....
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

My ex had an imaginary friend when he was a child. It was an old man named Klaus who came from the Black Forest.

He'd never been to the Black Forest and didn't know where it was.

We had Nayka and Melly living with us for years... Sometimes Nayka's brother Christopher would come round to play too... And occasionally a whole host of random imagination friends... They weren't always very nice to DD1, but she still played with them...

She's nearly 6 now and Nayka only gets a random mention now and again... I quite miss her sometimes...

(I like Grandpa in my pocket, it's funny!)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Ahh the wonderful imagination of the child....

I had an imaginary friend from the ages of 4 to 6.
He was a Cowboy called 'Shootgun'. He looked like George Michael and I was going to marry him one day :D

It was great. I was a very bright kid, too.
It is perfectly normal. In fact, it's quite special. ;)

It takes a very special kid with an amazing imagination to create a 'friend'.

    I think it's beautiful. :p

Oh, and I wasn't an only child. I have 11 brothers and sisters, with me being the youngest. :D

  • My 5.5 year old daughter too has an asortment of imaginary friends. Predominatley it is 'little girl' and 'sister' but sometimes there are brothers and other too.
I've been told off for standing on them, not giving them dinner and asked to lift them into the bath on more than one occaision.
They were most prodominate in her life between 2-4, and went everywhere with us. My husband (her daddy) died just a few days after her 2nd birthday and I put a lot of it down to that-always wanting to have someone with her.
Nowadays they are still there but she now calls them her 'pretend friends'- she has come to realise that's what they are but still regulary 'plays' with them and speaks to them.

Oh my goodnesss that "Bam the very important baby" made me properly laugh and I shouldn't be lol-ing at this time of night with everyone asleep!

My eldest brother apparently had a few imaginary friends called the Bobbards who lived in the airing cupboard! He either can't remember or pretends not to, but that is all the information I have from my parents regarding these mysterous friends...
