New windows and doors!!

Hi Guys -
Myself and my finance have recently taken the leap and purchased our first house together. Now we've been in a couple of months and when we intially looked at the house it was towards the backend of the summer, and everything seemed fine. However, now winter has arrived and the rain has started to come I've noticed the windows in our home basically leek and get alot of condensation on them as some of the windows are double glazed and some or not, and the double glazed one's the vacum has blown. Now I've started to look around and the price of windows and doors is unreal!!
I was wondering if there are any government schemes that give grants for new windows and doors which focus on energy saving, as well must losing so much heat through these windows. I am a teacher and my girlfriend is a nurse so don't know if that would help at all?
Any help or advice would be great.

unfortunately there isnt any official government schemes in place although some companies are saying there is, how many windows/doors are you replacing

4 windows, 2 at the front of the house (living room and upstairs bedroom) and 2 at the back (small bathroom and back bedroom). Possible patio doors but not a major issue.

French Doors - i would say look around £900 depending on size
what size are the windows? (i.e 3mx2m etc)
