NR, Cap One and Marbles, just wondering?

Hi there. Have completed our cccs web form and are bracing ourselves to click the button and start our DMP to get on top of things. We have three main debts, to Northern Rock (the biggest, an unsecured loan, with no missed payments so far), a Capital One credit card debt and a Marbles credit card debt. From scrolling through the boards, it seems that these companies are the worst to deal with when on a DMP. Does anyone have any positive stories about any of these banks or should we just start trembling now? They can't have what we don't have and like so many of you, we were getting along just fine until my husband had his hours cut by half. I'm trying not to panic and we are taking steps to deal with this but the thought of loads of hassle on the phone fills me with dread. I work long hours in a stressful job and as my husband works nights, it is me that has to deal with the phone calls. Any comments/thoughts will be gratefully received. Thanks.

The easy solution is to send them the letter informing them not to call you and only communicate by letter from now on

Give them a week to digest it and then should they call again get their details and report them

Yes, I will probably do that, at least with a letter you can sit down and think about it, a phone call just catches you on the hop. I know they all want higher payments than have been offered and they can be quite persuasive from what I've seen on here!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0
