I have just registeredr and apparently my number is already registered ( i thought it was ) so as in my earlier post iam wondering what this number 01113 is

The TPS service isn't infallible. It doesn't physically prevent nuisance calls, it's a code of compliance. Not everyone will comply with it.

A more comprehensive solution is to have caller display and to program the handset with your known numbers, and some handsets can even reject or ignore unknown (to the handset) incoming numbers.

Whether that is worthwhile depends on how often you get this.

Get an answering machine and caller ID. You'd not answer your front door to everyone would you?

Or get a house phone that blocks numbers and set you answering machine to 'answer only' ie just a gretting no option to leave a message.

Whomever 01113 is they'll soon get bored.
