White Kitchen Worktops - A good idea?

I'm thinking of having a white quartz kitchen worktop put in as part of our kitchen refurbishment. This is my very first new kitchen, after owning a house for over 18 years so I want it to be special. We plan to stay in our house for 20 years plus so want something long lasting and durable, but also beautiful and distinctive. Being practical is also quite important!!
Is there anyone out there with a white kitchen worktop?
If so, are they easy to keep clean and does white quartz stain after a while.

I've always had white. Grey and black granite etc may be fashionable but remind me of headstones in a graveyard..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I had white in my old house, kids were a nightmare, was forever bleaching them to get rid of stains with the kids. No one knows how to use a cloth in this house4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Can't beat the quality though! Don't skimp on the fabricator either.

Is the product man made such as laminates or natural as granite/quartz? White laminate will stain if you leave stuff on them such as fruit juices however you will have to leave them on for some time for this to happen. Granite/Quartz however if you spill some think on it that could stain like fruit juices, tea or coffee you will need to wipe it straight away.
If you have children i would advise you not to go for the real granite/quartz as it is a absorbent material. Also shop around for your worktop as prices may vary from different retails0 -
Avoid spilling Tumeric (Curry) Powder at all costs !0

Is that true? Would it stain a white/pale quartz surface?0
