housing benefit and mature student

hi i have written threads elsewhere about my situation, but i now need info about housing benefit.
i live with my parner in out rented flat but due to my financial problems we might have to move out, i will go back to my parents he will get a student room, he is 27 and a mature student. i understand that students cant get housing benefit, but what about mature students. he is what is classed as a full time course but only has university 3 days a week so in theory he could work 16 hours a week , would this qualify to get benefit.
we dont want to loose our home and if he lives there as sole occupant but gets help we might be able to keep it, if i move out we will not be paying council tax so will save there, he gets student loan and grant but it is not much

thanks

Being a mature student is irrelevant; only lone parents and disabled students can claim benefits. Your partner needs to get a part time job if he wants to stay in his flat.
