I couldnt tell you about your meter readings.. but if you have them I was advise you to put in your yearly consumption into a comparison site and see what offers they give you. I was with BG and was thinking about going onto the Websaver 5, but it turned out in the end to go with Scottish Power.. as the KHw per xxx quarter were at a cheper rate than BG... its sooo complicated but I think I have saved myself 33% off my annual bill!

Have you entered your tarrifs and put in 2 sets of meter readings? Put your original meter reads in an older date, last week would do. Then put todays reads in this weeks boxes. If you then go to the results page and scroll down it should tell you exactly what you have used and how much.

    What's it doing?

Remember Websaver has an exit fee - it might not change your mind, but you should be aware of it.
I've moved things around in your quote to help me understand

It is very difficult to compare bills between different houses - different patterns of use, different insulation etc, but here goes.
IN 3 months you have used 5231kWh at a cost of £164.98 (1st assumption - 3 payments of £50 made in this time). Average cost of 3.15p/kWh. Average cost per (winter) month £55 (obvioulsy this will be less in the summer). To pay this and clear the balance £64 is not unrealistic, and once the balance is clear it shoudl come back down again.
It looks like you have a metric meter where one unit on the meter (a cubic metre) is roughly 11.2 kWh.
You could look at some energy efficiency measures to see if you can bring your consumption down (don't heat rooms you are not in, or when you are not in, turn down the thermostat 1 or 2 degrees etc)

3 months and you've used £104, av cost 9.5p/kWh (Assumptions as above), £35/month. Again once the balance is clear your payments should drop.

PS - I work for British Gas
