The 'Why is it that...' thread

Thought it might be calming to get all of the silly little niggles down in one place so we can laugh at them and maybe even rationalise a few:

I'll start.

Here's one that just happened to me...

Why is it that if you're in a public toilet cubical with the door locked and clearly showing 'engaged' that some numpty will still come along and try to open the door with some force? It always makes me jump. Honestly, it's not rocket science is it?

Oh I just got that! :D :rotfl:

Speaking of 'Why is it thats...' in relation to toilets, why is it that no matter how many times on those huge-door toilets on trains I've pressed the 'Lock' button and checked the lights showing I'm convinced the door is just going to come sliding slowly open and reveal me sitting on the toilet to the whole carriage.

I think Frankie Boyle made the same point. He imagines the door opening and you being 'revealed' like a star prize on a game show :rotfl:

I've just looked in the Arms for the first time and yes, that could be a better place for this thread. Don't know how to move it though.

I think I'll start this again in the Arms as Dave suggested.
