I won but no prize! - Advice please?

Thanks to Christmas, the Weather and Industrial Action, recent post (especially Royal Mail packets) seems to have suffered unusually erratic and protracted delays.
I'd reccommend extended periods of calm patience before resorting to quiet resignation!

p.s. Booze in single bottles is quite likely to come by ordinary mail, in a couple of inches of polystyrene, quite safely and sedately...0 -
I was lucky enough to win a bottle of Ketel One vodka in via Mybrumtv and received an WEM from John Edden on 10th Dec to let me know and ask for my address details. This wasn't delivered, so I sent John an email reminder on 6th Jan, to which I didn't receive any answer!
I sent another email today and have received an email from John saying "I am afraid that as other competition winners for this prize have reported that the vodka has turned up and the competition organisers have confirmed that the bottles of vodka were posted out I can only assume that this is a Royal Mail error and hope that it turns up in due course".
I know I could report this to Institute of Sales Promotions, but am wondering if anyone has any advice and is it really worth bothering?
Just to let you know that I also won in this competition and have had exactly the same experience as you - and have sent e-mails and twittered them all with absolutely no response. Wish I had found this post earlier - why do they bother having competitions and then acting like this? I think they were telling porkies when they told you that others had received there Vodka as there were only 3 bottles to be won. One winner was you, and one was me! I even reported that I had not received mine but got no answer to any of my e-mails. I am now going to send a copy of this post to John and see if I get a response this time!0 -
Oh that's such a shame for both of you. It's very disappointing when wins don't arrive so I hope you both get your Vodka (you'll probably need it by then lol!).0

Finally a response from mybrumtv and here it is for all to see. Hopefully we've got somewhere. Watch this space:-
Thanks very much for your emailing and for highlighting this situation to us.
The problem we have here is that we have one of three winners assuring us that the vodka arrived and the other two that have received nothing. The vodka was not sent out by MyBrumTv. The organisers of the competition hold all responsibility for sending out the prizes once we have passed on winner details. Naturally, I don't suppose this is what you want to hear from us as you seek a resolution to this problem - I am just explaining where we stand as a company.
I have contacted the organisers a number of times to which I have been promised that all three bottles were posted out to winners - obviously this is not correct and I do doubt that Royal Mail would have such a hold up in delivering post.
All I can ask is that you leave it with me (again, probably not what you want to hear.) I will persist in contacting the organisers all week, asking if they could send out another bottle to you and our other concerned winner. However, I just want to make you aware that they do not have to agree to do this under our terms and conditions so we will be appealing to their good nature. If we fail to get this issue resolved with the competition winners we will happy to offer you a consolation prize that you will be able to choose yourself from the website.
I hope that you feel comfortable now that we will look to resolve this issue for you. I will be in touch by wednesday to let you know where we are with this. If for any reason I have not contacted you by wednesday please do drop me an email or give me a call.
Kind Regards
