Post Office Home Phone

I am no longer with the Post Office but have received reminder for bill dated 2007. I had a reminder last year and when I rang they said ignore it as it had been paid, then this year I have received another reminder. When I rang on Dec 24 I got a pre recorded message saying that if your call was about a reminder they were aware of the problem and ignore it. Now I have had a letter from Debt Collectors! What I need to know is, do I have to prove I have paid (difficult now) or do they have to prove I haven't?

    is the letter from Roxburghe?
I would say its better to call them and mention it, they will already be aware as the billing system sent out a load of erroneous red bills , but no harm in making a courtesy call ( I know it shouldnt be your problem to do so but i woudl do for peace of mind)
