LULU.COM not delviered 2010 yet

Hi,
I ordered some photo calendars from lulu.com on 20th December 2009.
As I ordered too close to Xmas I was suspected that they wouldn't here before 24th December (which was fine, as my year starts 1st January).

I checked on the status during this time and the status was "FULFILLING".

5th January came and no Calendars so I raised a ticket with LULU.COM, the reply included "Due to unforeseen circumstances with our print partners, production times have been delayed during this holiday season." and "Thank you for your understanding in this matter, and we apologize for any inconvenience."

I then submitted a reply asking for the order cancelling or some renumeration as on 24th they changed their pricing model to be "after xmas" prices and I felt it a little rich to be paying premium prices for an order that couldn't be filled during the premium price window.

6th January came and to my surprise, I received an email saying "Shipped on Tue, 05 Jan 2010 via Mail", I didn't receive any email saying my order was to be discounted or even acknowledged that my order should be cancelled.

It is now 18th January and LULU.COM have still not delivered the calendars.

Where would I stand on this issue? I have paid in good faith for a service that delivers in about a week, it is now 4 weeks and still nothing.

To make matters worse, I needed some photo desk calendars for work and extra gifts, deciding not to put any more money LULU.COM's way, I instead ordered from VISTAPRINT.CO.UK last week, they had a four week turnaround time. They arrived this morning, shipped from the US (same place as LULU.COM). I was gobsmacked!

Where do I stand on an unfulfilled order? Most people want their calendars for the start of the year, not during the year, these were presents for the family.

I certainly won't be ordering from LULU.COM again, but I would like my calendars, and some money back for the loss of days.

many thanks

I chose Priority Mail as this was £14 and Express was £70, I thought £14 was expensive but would at least get to me within 2 days on top of their 3-5 days to print.

How do I go about this?

    many thanks
  • alas, not much is printed in the UK anymore.
