which is best for credit rating?

Hi,

We're about to do some rejigging on cards and I need your advice!

card 1 has a £6k limit which is empty and currently has a life-of-balance deal of 6.3% so we're keen to use it.

We've got other cards at the same interest rate, so my question is this - is it better to have 3 cards with smallish amounts on them, or one card with one big amount, and then the others empty?

It confuses me....

  • May as well have it all on the one card. Unless you want the hassle of making 3 payments each month?

they're all set up as direct debits, so the hassle of paying is too bad to be honest. I'm tempted to shove them all on the same card because it will make me feel better!
