This could be a long one (so sorry in advance).
Went shopping with my bridesmaid and stepmum yesterday, for shoes and lingerie. We started off brilliant and went into Debanhams got my lingerie in the sale basque was £30 to £7.50 and thong was £10 to £3 so £10.50 for my lingerie. Then thing got bad. I can't wear heels as 1- it would make me much taller than OH, 2- they would catch in my dress and 3- I can't walk in them! So we wandered around BHS, M&S, Clarks, Monsoon you name it we tried it, and there were hardly any shoes at all. In a bit of a hurry as am having first fitting on 30th Jan and seamstress needs me to have all this stuff. Anyway while we were in Monsoon my stepmum spotted the perfect dress for my flowergirl in the sale from £60 to £15 and was perfect colour match for my BM dress. The hanger had age 6-7 on it so I was over the moon, but my sister spotted on the lable it says age 5-6 so was absolutely gutted. Then bought another flowergirl dress for £60 which when I got home I realised is not going to go with my pewter BM dress at all - AAARRRRGGGhHH!
So 5 hours of shopping and all I ended up with was underwear. Starting to get freaked as OH was off sick for 2 weeks so won't have full wages and there is still so much to do and pay for! Photographer is hardly been in touch at all in fact I had to e-mail him to confirm that he had received my deposit. Now I am waking up during the night and all I think about is cars/photographer/kilts/dresses blah blah blah.
Am I the only one turning into a wreck LOL?

I'm starting to have the occasional panic now (wedding is in June).

Do you have a list somewhere of all the jobs that need doing? I would make a list of everything, and start deciding when different things will get done; have a list of goals each week/month and just focus on each step at a time.
If you can get it feeling more organised it might stop the random panics about different elements...0 -
I have the odd freak out as well. There are so many decisions to be made, it's natural. Just try not to panic!!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

I keep going through fazes of being really calm and then really freaked out and the fact that I've only been engaged since Christmas Eve and started serious planning in the New Year does not bode well for the future. :rotfl: I think it's normal to feel a bit anxious about this stuff, isn't it?

im with laura2481 i have stages of utter panic then im fine again...then another panic./.....then im fine again lol
im usually fine when I am getting on with things myself and ticking things off my list, then i get panicky when people start going 'have you done this, this, this, this this and this? have you sorted out aunt sally? did you invite fred from next door? have you got the flowers? what are you doign for this? why havent you done this?' etc etc etc lol
but i am getting better at ignoring it all now and going back into my own little world lol
id say its all perfectly normal, people expect a lot from weddings nowadays so its a lot of pressure, my advice is have a sit down, make yourself a cuppa and relax with an episode of wedding sos/four weddings/dont tell the bride etc, that always cheers me up
Married on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -

Right.... take a deep breath
We have a massive newlook in nottingham that does lovely bridal shoes.
Take the dress back and have a look in places like adsa who had some lovely little dress in there the other day OR have a look on ebay OR go back and ask monsoon if they could get the dress you do want from another store or maybe look online?

So glad I am not the only one panicking. January seems to be flying in! I am getting there just need to sit down and re-assess priorities. Anyhows my mother-in-law 2B is taking dress back tomorrow and Sister-in-law 2B (mother of flower girl) is going to Perth to have a look in there Monsoon and bridal shops so thats kind of a weight of my mind LOL. Monsoon don't seem to have a sale section online for some reason and New Look in Dundee didn't have any wedding shoes.
Soooo I am having a night off tonight I am not trawling the net for wedding stuff  I am gonna sit have a glass of wine and talk to my OH about soaps/football/the weather (strictly a no wedding chat night) LOL!Became Mrs Lawson on May 1st 2010
