Hi All,
i need to take a client away for the weekend next month (im a support worker) thinking about blackpool, I know most of it will be closed up for the winter (pleasure beach etc) but is there anything that is still open? Amusement arcades and things like that?
Coming from Glasgow, money not really a problem since we are not paying for it
Any suggestions would be great for anywhere else like this and not too far away or long journey on a train!
Thanks.

Hi Carcon
I don't live too far away from Blackpool and I think the amusement arcades are open pretty much all year. You should be able to find out online if the sea life centre, the tower and the sandcastle (big swimming pool) are open. Pleasure Beach definitely not open but I'm sure you'll still find plenty to do!Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0 -
Hiya Im actually in Blackpool, there will be plenty for you to do, the Pleasure Beach is closed until Spring but The Sancastle is open weekends only and The Sealife Centre and Tower are open.
The big arcades (Coral Island, Funland) are open all year. Lancaster is also near Blackpool and will make a good day out as you have The Castle and The Butterfly House.0 -
Thanks for the replies, i was thinking of the sealife centre and maybe the zoo, 2 things i've never actually done when in blackpool!
I'm thinking it's probably very quiet at this time of year?
Better get off to find a hotel now!

The Pleasure Beach opening weekend is 13th Feb. The wristbands are usually discounted for the first few weekends of the year but be warned the rides might not all be open due to the weather.0
