Electoral Roll - Accessing

Hi everyone

Probably not the correct section to ask this question but does anyone know how I can access the UK Electoral Register on-line, which site is best to use and how much it costs please.

There seem to be several companies out there that have this information but all at varying rates. Isn't there one official government list I can view?

Thanks.

The free way to do it is to go to either your council offices, who will definitely have a copy of the public register, or you local library, who may have one (depending on how much the council charges them to have it!).

Thanks rb10 I was aware of that but the local library only has the electoral for the local area and won't allow any photocopying of it which is a bit of a pain :(
I want to be able to search all the UK for names of people not just the area I live in.

192.com is probably your best bet. They charge but I doubt you'll find any company who'll do it for free.

I'm quite happy to pay, no problem as I want many searches.
I just want to find a reputable site that charges a fair price and delivers.
  • the above involves entering the search you want to make on their forum then waiting for their admin to reply, might be free but very very slow,ok for the occasional search hopeless for anything else
