Have you given any thought to Center Parcs? Great for the kids & your 15 yr old can go absailing, paintballing etc. For the younger ones there are plenty to do too. I have 3 age 7, 5 & 21 months & we love the place & don't go anywhere else. I did try The Golden Coast in Woolacombe Bay in devon once & I recommend you AVOID it like the plague!
  • will look at centreparks but think this a little over our budget. Not sure where our nearest is?

Elveden in Suffolk is the nearest to you.
  • I would recommend Edinburgh, it is such a lovely city and lots to do. It would probably be about a 7 hour journey from you but definately worth the drive. We went in November 2008 and there was so much to do we were never bored, theres the new part of the city and the old part which is very nice, loads of graveyard and ghost tours at night which are more funny than scary, lots of nice places to walk too. We're going to go back there again this year :D

It was about a 9 hour journey for us but we bought a load of standup comedians on cd to listen to on the way which helped!
  • by the way i just realised you said you dont want to travel longer than 3 hours - and i just recommended a 7 hour journey to you lol ignore my Edinburgh suggestion!
  • Kelling Heath in north Norfolk a couple of miles from the coast.

  • dont suppose any has any promotional codes for centre parks or kelling heath?
