Anyone use or used http://www.memory-map.co.uk software, 2800 Handheld device or the 7in screen?
We have been using sapmaps for our search and rescue operations and don't get on with them, we are now looking at a better option. When we launch the our Airboat we are going to use a Panasonic Toughbook with mapping software - We have been looking at Memory Map any thoughts?

I've used memory map on a PC. it's an excellent piece of software. Other options are Anquet or Tracklogs. The problem with all of them is the cost of the maps but that's down to the OS licensing rules. It's my problem, it's my problem

The cost isn't the issue at the moment, its trying to find the best value for money and best piece of software for us......

I've used Memory map in micolights for a few years now on a pocket pc and don't have any problems. With the small screen I find it's best to use it to pin point my position on a larger paper map. However I've only used it in the air so can't comment for other uses.0

Looks like the mapping data should be a lot cheaper soon.
