UPDATE!!! Thanks to all that helped, The day after I sent the email the guy from the hamper company phoned me up and said there'd been a mix up with winning hampers going to the wrong people-obviously the person that got my £500 one didn't complain it wasn't just one for £50!!!

Anyway, they sent out the proper hamper worth £500 and it just arrived and there's absolutely loooooooads!!!! He also said to keep the £50 hamper as extra as a sorry for getting them muddled!!!

Soooooo pleased lol X


I won the following: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=27449993&highlight=box+delights+hamper#post27449993 and also got a letter saying exactly the same-a hamper worth £500 as featured in Hello magazine issue 1101, yet I opened the hamper today, and it's worth £50 (been on website and checked).

What would people suggest I do? Don't want to seem ungrateful as it's a great win, but admit am realllllllly disappointed as both the comp post and my letter had £500 on them! The post also said champagne, truffles etc but it had 2 bottles of wine, jams, biscuits, box of chocolates and a shortbread biscuit!

If anyone still has the issue please let me know too lol

That's a shame. Could it be a runner up prize rather than the main prize
I think you need to verify with whoever posted the comp. Maybe send princess pixiedust a polite pm

EDIT - maybe they substituted certain items.

The letter I received said congratulations-you are the winner of the christmas hamper worth £500 so it's the main prize!! lol Thanks though, I'll do that and see if she by any chance has the copy still! XXXX

I'd bet on a typo in the comp details myself.

Shame, I bet you were looking forward to this too.
I would defo email them, they run comps as a business..so the prizes are their product aren't they? They need to get them right just like any other product seller.

Edit. Whoooaaah ...this was a premium text comp?? Hell yeah complain your !!! off. They make a fortune off the people ringing ...would you have entered by text for a 50 quid hamper and paid??

Thanks guys! The letter I received stated it was this prize-from Issue 1101 of Hello magazine-I wondered about typo but both comp post copied from magazine, and the letter stated £500 lol
The letter was from 'Invomo' who I'm guessing are the company that deal with competitions for the magazine-there is an email there-you think email them, or hello?

I would email them both. It maybe the mag don't know what the promoters are up to! Bet someone there is haveing a great time supping your champers and scoffing your truffles!

Hope you get it sorted hun. If you get no joy from your email, you should consider taking it to the Institute of Sales and Promotions. That's just not on! :mad:

I would email 'Invomo' and cc Hello into the email quote everything you can and ask them to clarify the situation
