AA / RAC Vehicle Inspections

I have been asking myself the same question. My view is that I would be very suspicious of dealers who wouldn't allow an AA or RAC inspection.0

If your spending a bit of money on a car its well worth getting someone like the RAC/AA to check it over, if you have a mechanic friend even better. The inspectors are doing it your behalf so will give you their opinion based on their experience and what they find.
If any dealer refuses you permission to get it independently inspected I would say thats your cue to say "Thanks for your time, but i'll be looking elsewhere for my next car purchase".
EDIT: Most inspections also include the HPI check aswell which is normally £15Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
We used the AA for a car check, at first i thought it was a lot of money to spend, but when we got the report back it was clear that they had all but taken the car appart .
They really do spend hours checking everything possible on the vehicle including hpi ,stolen etc .
I would say if your spending a few thousand on a car have the check done0
