Proof of private pension contributions

My DD is planning to go to Uni in September and has got two conditional offers in. Being organised I thought I'd start on the financial assessment forms but we need to provide proof of private pension payments made for y/e 5/4/09.
The only proof applicable to us is "Confirmation from Department of Work and Pensions of amount of pension paid" but we do not appear to have received anything.
How easy is it to get from the DWP? Thanks

Bump, will they accept proof from the pension company as I can get this easily. Thanks0

Letter from the pension provider should be fine, as long as it confirms the figures for the relevent tax year.0

(Hope it's OK to resurrect this old thread, as this seems to be a relevant follow-on question)
I've got written confirmation of pension contributions from my provider, but it isn't clear from the poorly written Student Finance form whether they want the net figure (i.e. the amount I actually paid) or gross figure (i.e. the figure used on tax returns). Does anyone know?0 -
Gross figure.0
