Carmarthen Bay Park Resorts - has anyone been?

Hi All,

I've just ordered my tesco vouchers to pay for a park resorts holiday at Whitsun for me, OH and 3 young girls. Fondly remembering my holidays to this area as a child I had my heart set on Carmarthen Bay.

However, reading the reviews on websites the customers seem to grade it as either a 1/5 or 5/5.. I'm not too trustworthy of these sites as I think they may be populated by either park resorts employees giving great reviews or competitors giving bad reviews.

I trust the views of people on these forums more so has anyone got any views?

I just want a clean base to explore the surrounding area, and am planning on booking a silver caravan.

I'm booked to go at Easter, booked with the Sun £9.50 holidays. I booked before reading the reviews (probably a good job as they were mostly awful!). However, a lot of the reviews seem to be about cleanliness, and as the park doesn't open til April, and we're going the second week, I don't see how it can be that dirty by then!
  • I was just about to add this as my fifth choice on my sun holiday booking form last night, when i read some reviews, (which were mostly bad) but I'm going to include it anyway as I am struggling to come up with any more parks that are within a rerasonable travelling distance to me!
I quess i'll just have to take my chances!
As i'm booking by sending away the tokens
I may not get any of my choices, like last time, and end up in a completely different park anyway!
Lasttime i ended up in north Wales in Golden Sands in Rhyl, and had a lovely weekend there.
Anyone been there out of interest?
Good luck ladyshopper. I hope you have a lovely holiday.
  • If you are looking to visit Park Resorts Caravan Park this year then be sure to visit park-resorts dot info before you book, as you will be surprised with the information available and may help you change your mind. If you do go as a holiday maker do not let any of the salesman talk you into purchasing one of there caravans if you check the site out you will understand why.

Hi, i went this site with the sun holiday offer a couple of times but it was about 10yrs ago. We only used it as a base to get out and about though, only went to the clubhouse once...the swimming pool was nice...kids enjoyed that. The caravan was good standard and clean. To be honest we didnt spend much time there other than sleep, if you do go make sure you visit Llansteffan castle across the bay the views are amazing.
