Just thought I'd share a little story with you all. Being fairy young...and until recently fairly ignorant in the ways of bathroom fitting. My wife and I ventured to B&Q with the intention of purchacing a shiny new bathroom!
After 4 months of utter hell, with them over various things too long to go into detail here...we basically had a bathroom...sitting in our conservatory in mid summer, with no-one to fit it.
We cancelled our fitting with B&Q...yes, you can actually do that! The price dropped a couple of grand and we found a fantastic builder who obliged (who also used to fit bathrooms FOR B&Q anyway), so we took the plunge and entrusted our well earned money in him. Four days later, beautiful bathroom fitted and well over £1000 saved from our original spend!
Lesson learned: don't get the store to install your kitchen or bathroom, find a better builder and save yourself a fortune, in both money and stress.
