Help - Student CV!!!

Options
I was wondering if anybody could help, as any help would be much appreciated:)

My wife is currently studying an accountancy & finance degree (just finished her 2nd year) and is doing very well. However, as she has never worked and her education pre-degree was done in Iran, she is finding her CV to be weak.

In addition, most graduate jobs are asking for UCAS points and GCSE's in English and Math’s, which is a a sticking point with her studying abroad.

On the positive note, she is almost guaranteed a first class degree and was awarded prizes by the ACCA for achieving the highest exam marks for two of her exams at uni.

Any help is much appreciated

    Hi

In my opinion, a really strong covering letter could help to explain away any perceived weaknesses in the cv. Personally when I am recruiting I am much more interested in the covering letter than the cv, unless I am looking for specific qualifications. The best thing for her to do would be to spend a lot of time and effort writing a brief (one page) letter for each job she applied for explaining why she wants it, why she would be good at it, and why the experience/qualifications she has will enable her to do it. This can also be a place to explain the difference or similarities between her qualifications and the UCAS/GCSE type, ie International Baccalaureat (sp?) which is equivalent to x amount of A levels or whatever.

Good luck to both of you.
