Looks lovely - thanks!0 -
Be careful with all inclusive - often you are limited to one restaurant only, and not all drinks are covered.
I never go all inclusive, but I am not a big drinker ... well not when I am on holiday at least!
Gone ... or have I?0 -
Can you recall how much the upgrade was??
Certainly can, the upgrade was £250, that was for the both of us not each.
For that you could eat at the 2 min restauraunts on opposite ends of the island, or there was a fish restaraunt that was a boat moored up near to reception but you had to pay a little extra for that.0 -

When we went a few years back, cocktails were not included but just about everything else was. However we would ask the barman what was in each cocktail, order each thing up separately, and then the barman was happy to mix it all up for us!!
If you do not go AI, find out exactly how much stuff costs before booking. Where we were it was £20 for lunch, £40 for evening meals, £3 for a small bottle of water, £10 for alcoholic drinks. And of course you are stuck on the island so you cannot go elsewhere for grub. Other islands may have been cheaper.0 -
When would be the cheapest weeks of the year, and how much is it likely to be for AI? Also does any company do free child places? Thanks.0

we went to two different islands, meeru and kuredu (something like that) both were great
definitely do all inclusive, yes you are restricted to particular restaurants and only "house drinks" but in meeru it was the branded stuff that was included, cocktails aren't included but the bars have happy hours and different offers every day
and you have to eat within a particular time frame (2 hour window for lunch brekkie and dinner) but the food choice is amazing especially at meeru and they have people to make up pasta dishes and things however you likeYes Your Dukeiness
