Applying for different cards in same day?

Got accepted for a Virgin card (for my balance transfers) today.

Now thinking of applying for a 0% spending card (Sainsburys) - should I wait a few days before applying for this? Will the fact that I've recently applied for a card impact the acceptance process?

And IME better to make the 2nd or 3rd application before the credit limit from the 1st or 2nd cards appears on your credit report.
