Hi there,
Can anyone recommend somewhere for Sunday lunch in Leeds. It's my son's birthday and he is at Leeds Uni so we would like a recommendation if possible from someone who knows the area please. We're looking for roast beef and yorkshire puds please!

Not been for Sunday lunch in this area for a good many years but the Original Oak used to always do a good one- normally full of students nursing hangovers from the night before!
If you don't mind a wee bit of a drive ( I would say maybe 20 mins from Headingley) then there's the White House on Old Wetherby Road which is excellent

Though there seems to be some not too favourable reviews there we've always enjoyed it.0 -
There is The Stables pub at Weetwood Hall hotel just on the ringroad north of headingley

They do Sunday lunches but I am unsure of the times.
In Adel (next village north) there is Lawnswood Arms on the main A660 which is a 2for1 place. Your son will probably know of these 2 already.
A little further out is "The New Inn" this is at Eccup about 5 mins in the car (LS16 8AU). Its up on the moor and does big portions.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

Thank you so much for these suggestions. We tried Weetwood Hall on our last flying visit. I had mushroom soup which looked and tasted like dishwater! We'll give that one a miss but I'll certainly google your other suggestions.
