Thoughts on Improvements to the forums

Am I the only person to think it would be a good idea to be able to "bookmark" your place when reading a thread? Unless it is really obscure and not easy to see how. If a thread gets long it is impossible to remember how much I have read.
I also cannot work out how to "track" a forum without posting on it. Sometimes I may want to read one but not post to it, but still read postings from other people. It is also quite long winded how to do so.
I know it can be done... well it can on other forums I use, but I guess made with different software.
Hope I am not the only person to think this.

If you view a board's index you can click theicon in front of the Thread's title to take you to the last unread post.
You can also click 'View First Unread' at the top when viewing a thread (Under the Post Reply button.
Obviously the forum can't really tell what you've read - just show you new posts since you last visited - so if you only get half way through reading a thread then it can't help you when you come back later.I also cannot work out how to "track" a forum without posting on it. The first post shows you how to subscribe to a thead you haven't posted on.0 -
There is one way you could bookmark your place in a thread. At the top-right of every post there is a number (e.g. #3 at on this post.)
Click on that number and it shows you the post on its own. When you see the post on its own, save it to favorites in your browser.
Later when you return to the bookmark, click on the thread title at the top-right of that. You will be returned to the thread where you left off0
