Lighting a back boiler

Sadly I've never used a gas back boiler before but have moved into my new house which has a New World Stowaway boiler.
I have read the instructions for lighting the pilot light but to no avail. I have ensured the gas in on by the meter so it's not that.
What I have noticed is a couple of wheels (valves?) in a cupboard beside the boiler. My plumber told me that I wouldn;t need to touch it, but the system was decomissioned before I moved in. Any advice?

I very much doubt they have anything to do with the gas supply.
Give you'r plumber a ring, he should be able to explain to you on the phone how to light it.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Follow the gas supply pipe from the meter to the gas boiler, any valve shutting off the gas will be in an accessible position probably near the boiler.0
