Thermal Stores are a pile of pants.
I had one and it was forever going wrong. Pumps blocking, failing. The insides of it scaled up. The blocks of flats I live in had them fitted. Some even developed an algae problem. They leaked also. Another problem was lack of hot water. Especially when the radiators were on.
This was a Gledhill Boilermate thermal store.
I got so sick of it I ripped it out and put in a condensing combi. Never looked back. Was glad to see the Thermal Store hit the bottom a skip where it belonged.0
