We're planning on going there for the 2 weeks and doing a tour of different places, he speaks more french than i do as his parents spend a lot of time in Limoges as they have a house there
I'm plotting places on a google map so we can plan our route, we will probably be getting the ferry rather than the tunnel cos its cheaper

Hi
For some ideas on campsites check out the forums on www.ukcampsite.co.uk look in the camping and caravanning abroad board.
It will give you lots of excellent feedback on campsites all over France.

We'll be back in June (with Canvas) to Le Chatelet at St cast Le Guido in Brittany- it's beautiful, spotless, and the views are astounding.Only dead fish go with the flow...0

Quite agree creased-leach, you can't beat the north coast of Brittany. The beaches, the towns, the sea-food and the Bretons - it's the best!0

Ile de Re and La Rochelle. Classy, historical and top class restaurants. I have a place near there. There is Puy de Fou on the way down and Futuroscope not far away if you are taking kids. There is also the Marais Poitevin with gorgeous villages all built on canals where you can be punted round and chill for an hour or so. My favourite is Coulon, about 45 mins from La Rochelle. Ile de Re is where the rich Parisiens go, Sarkozy and Johnny Depp are supposed to have been spotted. It is is gorgeous with beautiful beaches and harbours, most of the island has dedicated cycle paths and you can camp there, there is a municipal site as well as many others. All not a million miles away from Limoges. There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0

We have spent the last two summer hols camping in France, two years ago in the Dordogne at Soleil Plage which is a great site right on the banks of the river and last year we stayed at Les Puepliers in the Tarn Gorges which was also a good site, there is plenty to do in each area and the scenery in the Tarn is spectacular, it also helped that the weather was 40degs every day ! Other people we me also recommend the Ardeche.0
