Asda online shopping, beware

I just started online grocery shopping with Asda and already have run into trouble!
First time all went ok, second time I thought all was ok untill I checked my mini statement.
On the 13th they took and delivered £30 odd pounds worth of groceries as they should have done minus cat litter which they didnt have in stock... BUT on the 14th they also took £40 odd pound which is pending which is the amount with the cat litter!
Even though they technically don't have the cash I can't access it!
If I had had less in the bank I could have gone overdrawn very easily.

I rang Asda to find out what happened and I didnt get a satisfactory explanation, or even an apology for that matter, infact I got passed aorund 5 people then put on hold for 10 minutes and I hung up eventually. One said it was my banks fault!!

So, please just be aware - always have money in your account you can afford not to have incase this happens to you.

I wont be doing anymore online shopping now.
Yes I will pay more in bus fares but I can't afford to go overdrawn.

not good is it. maybe a refund for the first amount is going through, it can take a few days to show back in your bank account. i use a credit card for online shops so if a situation like this arises there is no problem, because i haven't got to pay for the shopping with real money until i get the card bill a few weeks later. if you had gone overdrawn due to their mistake that would seem to be very unfair.

Not good ata ll. Asda said 10 days to reverse it so my bank have sent me a visa form to fill in as it was unauthorised - hopefully Asda will get a telling off from visa is nothing else, although the people I was passed around dint seem bothered at all even though I stressed I have a small baby to feed and they have just screwed up my money.

It's been user error - they have done the order right for the 13th, paid and delivered- then someone has done it again on the 14th a day too late and it look slike they cant reverse it but to let it run its course. Arghhhhhhh.

My cold weather paymenyt went through too so I cant access that. Thank goodness the snow has gone at least.
