I've posted a couple of times about our rented house and i am so annoyed. We moved in in October and we have had nothing but problems.
Both our neighbours are noisy, one side has his tv ridiculously loud and on the other we can hear the teenage daughter and boyfriend having sex. Im surprised they havent come through the wall and you can hear it in the alley under the house its that loud!
We had water coming up through our floor in November and it still hasn't been investigated.
We now have a wierd smell in the living room when we leave the door shut and a brown mark coming through the wall in the fireplace.
Our pipes have frozen twice as they are lagged properly so we didnt have any water. I told the letting agent about this but nothing has been done again.
I also can hear noises at night in the loft which wake me up. Was finally brave today and investigated. There was 2 electronic pest deviced plugged in in the loft. We weren't told they were up there and we're playing for the electric. This means theres obviously been a problem before. There was some poo up there but i dont know if its old or not. Im going to put some food up and flour and see if anything happens. Then i can get onto the estate agents.
The landlady wanted long term tenants but i dont think i want to live here once our agreement has ended. The letting agents are always rude and its making me stressed.
Sorry its so long just needed a rant and some advice. We're paying a lot of money to live here and it would nice to be able to enjoy our home.

can you tell us more about this water coming up through the floor ?
the device in the attack is obviously meant to stop infestations progressing - why would you want to change that ?
what kind of smell ? do you have wooden floor boards - it could be a dead animal under there0 -
Stop reporting stuff to the letting agent, send a recorded delivery letter to your landlord! If you can hear neighbours both sides there could be problems with sound proofing. For night time noise buy some WAX ear plugs which are amazing.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
