we have booked and paid for a hire car for our holiday to america in may,but the company we booked with have phoned us(2 days later) and told us we now have to pay an extra $90:eek: dollars on top as we are dropping off the car in a different place to the pick up,we were not told this at the time and it seems a bit unfair, where do we stand legally?do we have to pay up and suck it up or what? any help much appreciated.

Do you want to turn up and find that they've 'accidentally' forgot to reserve the car you wanted and you have to pay more for the next model up (or there isn't one at all)? Or get charged for 'damage' to the car after you come back etc. The long and short of it is that if you want to use this company then yes you probably have to pay up - see if you can find anything cheaper and if not then it's your choice. Always worth a polite email stating that you've paid the price quoted and it's their mistake though.0
