£401 if you go Delta out and back Air France with a change in Paris...personally I would spend the extra £17 for the direct flight

Plenty of sub £400 options if you do a search on Amadeus.

Why Newark? All airports in NYC are easy to get to and from.

    You can get

    £375, Delta to JFK. (ebookers.co.uk)
£387, American Airlines to JFK (americanairlines.co.uk)
    £403, Continental to EWR. (continental.com)

If you are 100% sure you want to be in EWR, you have to go with Continental.

All these prices were found on kayak.co.uk prices are for 1 adult, return.

I'm sure if you read reviews on Delta, American Airlines, Continental, actually any airline that flys, there will be complaints, and you'll end up staying in the UK.

It's only £28 per person difference, and if you've got to get from JFK to New Jersey (not New York), then that saving will disappear straight away..

Continental are the only airline to fly direct from Manchester to Newark, New Jersey

'Hello, I would like to book a flight, could I have a discount please?'
    'Err, no.'
    'Thank you.'
    'No problem.'
    'Bye then.'
    'Goodbye.'
    Gone ... or have I?
