Went in to Argos today witha local authority ourchase order to but approx £200 of items for work including USB flash drives and also a panasonic camera. Left everything in the bag intact to take to work on Monday. Opended the camea box earlier on and discovered everything apart form the camera was in it! Went straight back to Argos but it had just shut. The box has a cardboad flap on it- no other seals. Where do I stand with this? Thanks

It may have been the box of a camera that is displayed in the technology display cabinet. I would go back to the store and ask them to check the remaining stock. Have a check in the display cabinet before you approach the customer services and see if the model you bought is on display and if it is, changes are that's your camera!0

I have seen so many threads like this people buying things only to discover that the box was empty,i believe that it happened recently with a DSI from Argos.
My advice is no matter what check what you are buying.
Good luckForum spellcheckers are the pitts.0 -
What the staff normally do is open the box up in front of you to check that everything is there, the member of staff obviously didnt do this0

I have returned stuff to both B&Q and to Argos - nobody checks what is in the box. Yes, you give your details but I wonder if that is ever associated with the returned item physically.
Having had a really bad experience with B&Q where bits of fittings were missing I am not surprised.
Seems good advice to check box before leaving premises but really why should we?0
