We changed our 12 week old cavalier king charles spaniel on to James Wellbeloved Turkey & Rice a couple of weeks ago, he loves the food but since being on it he has the smelliest bum!! :rotfl:
I don't really want to change his food again so soon and also i've just bought a big bag of it.
Is there anyway to stop his farts smelling so bad without changing his food?
PLEASE!! :rotfl:

What was the puppy on before, and did you change the food gradually? You might try a course of probiotics (beneficial bacteria) such as LactoB.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

He was on beta puppy when we got him and we changed him over the course of a week.
Do I have to get them from the vets or will they sell that at somewhere like pets at home?
Mrs_Mix - i'll definitely get some charcoal biscuits, thanks:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

You can buy it online without a prescription, not sure about P@H. Some pet owners simply use the human version, freeze-dried acidophilus capsules from Holland & Barrett, but you should ideally dose according to a dog's smaller size.
I can't see how you could possibly 'overdose' as they are just friendly bacteria but you might prefer to ask the vet. If it's freeze-dried you need to store in the fridge once opened and feed with food so the stomach acids don't kill the bacteria. I have had great results with my human IBS clients so hope it helps your pup!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
These claim to be beneficial to dogs with sensitive stomachs.
Does pup wolf his food down? Perhaps he is swallowing too much air leading to severe flatulence. Perhaps instead of feeding him twice a day divide it into smaller portions and feed more frequently.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

He has four small meals a day at the moment. Some meals he wolfs down but most he doesn't.
I'll have a look for some probiotic thingies that he can have, thanks:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

If you changed the food over slowly and the bad wind has been about for 2 weeks, I would change food. Bad wind is usually a result of poor digestion. It may be one minor ingredient but something is not agreeing with your pup. maybe try a different JWB variety but change over a few days again.0
