i never bother with that. just remove the part first, and then go get one.
diaphrams used to be a 5 pk for quid at travis perkins.
the complete syphon is only a fiver.Get some gorm.0 -
I think that it is the total height of the syphon, from the bottom of the inside of the cistern, to the top of the dome on the syphon. Anyway, what you are looking for, is that the overall height to be less than the depth of the cistern. Otherwise the lid won't go back on. Or, do as ormus suggests.I can afford anything that I want.

Hi
All you need to know.
Buy one of the Dudley two part ones, save time in the future fitting a new diaphram.

It's stamped on the top but if you can find it or can't see it then measure from the bottom of the inside of the cistern to the water line (as marked by the manufacturer - sometimes just a ridge in the ceramic) and then add 1 inch. That ensures that the spillover inside the syphon will be above the water line. If it's not high enough then the water won't stay in the cistern and if it's too high it won't flush. The external height of the syphon (to the top of the dome) is 1 or 2 inches higher.steveo3002 wrote: »ive diagnoised a busted toilet syphon
