Hi if a room is 315cm x 400cm blockwork to blockwork how much do you allow for plaster so i can measure out for the kitchen units?

Thanks Niall

Whats going on the blockwork before the finish coat? Render? Bonding? Dry lining?

Whichever- doesn't matter. Get it done first then measure for your units if you think its all going to be a tight fit.

    Cheers

I agree, get it done then you'll know to within a few mm's
But generally if it was solid wall (wet plastering) I would scratch coat about 10-15mm on new block wall then top at about the same then roughly 3 mm skim. However it depends how level the wall has been put up. In one case I had a 50 mm deviation over 2.4 metres to sort out!!!!! that is to say that the wall over this height was 50mm out of level at the ceiling height.(worst bricky in the world!!!!!)
