Hi, today i receivd a offer of payment of my PPI from Welcome Finance as a gesture of goodwill.
Full payement, plus interest and 8% aswell..
Also in my contract i noticed i have been charged for Lifecare 24 and a Personel accident plan, that was miss sold.
My question is can i also claim for this, and is this also a PPI ?.

Hi there
First of all Congratulations on your success.:T:beer:
I would certainly give it a go, you don't know until you try.
Good luck.;)
I would check the terms and conds of this policy but if it was mis sold to you I can't see why you can't reclaim, give it a go.The one and only "Dizzy Di"

That's really quick.
I started mine in October 2008 and eventually had it settled with the FSO in November 2009. I am still waiting for Welcome Finance to contact me with what the final settlement is. They were given 12 weeks to settle this as they have a backlog so they have another 3 weeks until there time is up.
I'm not holding my breath. Following the guidelines on MSE about how the FSO calculate PPI refunds, I am due approx £1900.0 -
Hi K1RST1E,
Their backlog is approximatley 2 months, I had mine settled in October 2009, and when I last checked with the FOS they told me they were just dealing with Augusts claims, so I would'nt be too optimistic about the 3 weeks, I reckon I might be lucky by March and I havent got a value yet, so heres hoping.
Good Luck.

Hi CHOPPER,
That's a bit disappointing. Every month that goes by that they are not settling my claim, they are processing a missed payment on my credit file.
I have asked them to stop this to which they replied, no. I was tempted to take them to court over it to get this sorted out quicker but to be honest, I'm not sure what benefit that will have. I'm not desperate for the payout, I'm more concerned for the delinquent credit history on the account considering I have more than paid back what I owe in the time stipulated on the first credit agreement yet they still ask for more!!0 -
Hi K1RSTIE,
i don't know about the missed payment thingy:o, but you are still earning a paltry 8% interest until it is settled, so there is that bit extra on your settlement;), when I mean paltry I mean compared to the interest they are charging/charged you and everybody that has dealt with them at 20% :eek:upwards, it stinks I know.
But keep going. I think you should be able to challenge the missed payment thingy as you are in dispute with the company!!!!:A

hi nsabournemouth,
I am currently in the process of trying to go back to Oct 1999 under the special timescale of 12 years but this may be a step too far, but as I have checked under the FOS time scale guide thingy under which you may go back 12 years under cirtain circumstances so as I have only just started the complaint I may not be able to get back as quick as I would hope.
Regards Chopper0
