Capital one progress has a limit of up to £2,500 - but I think it's sort of aimed at people who've had a poor history in the past - but also have a few years of good credit history behind them now, e.g. maybe if you've been good with some other poor history cards for a while?

There's an interest calc and credit limit amounts for poor history cards here http://www.credit-card-comparison-online.co.uk/bad-credit-rating/

Do you have a card with this amount owing or are you looking for a new card?

jlb1924, you don't need £2,500 to buy a car. You would be best to get one for £500 (or less) and then get something better when you can afford it without resorting to credit.
    Gone ... or have I?
