Why am I unable to obtain emailed copies of the JDR Form and Stat Declaration Forms from the DPS without providing reams of information? Surely, these should follow the principles of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 - after all, they are blank forms, not completed!
Please advise. I'd like copies of the forms emailed and have had an email saying that unless I provide further information regarding my tenancy (which I do not wish to do at this time), then they cannot provide the forms as it's against your security procedures? Erm, why??
ETA - I note the TDS actually have the blank forms online for one to download as required. Why can't the DPS do that?

Googler - I've mentioned this on another thread. I am aware that the DPS rep can't accept PMs so I was advised to try him this way, not really for anyone else but it appears the only way to contact him on here.... Their Customer Service haven't come back to me despite two emails and getting through on the telephone is just a joke unless you want a rather large phone bill to build up while on hold!
ps - Aren't you are tenant or landlord? The DPS = Deposit Protection Scheme (or scam depending on your viewpoint)....0 -
If you have a read of that thread again or take a look at the DPS rep's posts you will see that he posted his email address, so you should be able to ask him your questions directly0

You may have posted it elsewhere, I'm merely asking what it is since this thread was at the top of the forum when I logged in and it was the first one I came across. You seemed to assume that everyone knows your TLA, but I didn't, so thought I would ask for everyone's benefit. Now we know.
I'm neither a tenant nor a landlord, and don't see why you would think I was..... and I don't have a viewpoint on whether it's a scheme or a scam.0 -
googler - my apologies I thought I'd read somewhere on here that you were - must have mixed you up. The DPS rep, for whom the message was intended, would have understood my TLAs. Re the scheme, you may not have a viewpoint but others do and plenty on here voice them

Bitter - thanks - I will try emailing, I did see it but was a bit unsure whether to use that tbh as it was specifically for the person posting about the royal mail problem but I will try it - I suppose at the end of the day, if he did not wish it to be public he wouldn't have posted it.0 -
kevin firth is actually CEO of DPS (Chief Executive Officer)
